The River Tales interactive CD-ROM presents a series of colorful and stimulating learning modules introducing children at the middle school level to the plants animals and wildlife of the upper Mississippi River basin. From beavers to panic grass to swamps these modules convey the varied habitats along the Mississippi River in an easy-to-use interactive format.
The River Tales CD-ROM allows children to learn amazing facts about the wondrous variety of life near the Mississippi River. The hundreds of pictures and an interactive question-and-answer format make if fun for children to learn. The easy point-and-click format allows the child to explore exactly what they want to know:

The modules are suggested for children ages 10 to 13 or as an enrichment activity for ages 8 and 9.
