Subject: Next Tuesday, 10/11: ECN Learning Call - "Green Strategies to Re-entry"

Dear Glo,

Next Tuesday, on October 11th, Efficiency Cities Network is hosting a Learning Call.

With 9% of Americans out of work, and nearly twice that number unemployed in many communities of color, employment is a critical issue. The job outlook becomes exponentially more grim for Americans transitioning home from incarceration. Increasingly, hiring policies limit the ability for these workers to successfully find employment. The next Efficiency Cities Network call focuses on this issue and strategies for successfully transitioning the re-entry community into jobs. The presenters on the call will discuss the potential for the Green Economy to provide employment for re-entryworkers and delve into best practices in re-employing workers transitioning back into the workforce.

Please join us Tuesday, October 11th at 12 pm Pacific / 3 pm Eastern for the Efficiency Cities Network call: Green Strategies to Re-entry.

On this call, we’ll hear from:

  * Katherine Daniel, Communities of Practice Program Manager, Green For All
  * John Mello, Green Projects Director, Baltimore Center for Green Careers, Civic Works, Inc.
