North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) conducted a focus group workshop with this resulting report to gather input from prospective employers about workforce needs in the Building Science Sector that will meet the needs of the state of North Carolina. The objectives of the workshop were to:
--Assess Building Science labor market needs in North Carolina to determine employment opportunities.
--Identify knowledge tasks and skills needed for building technicians.
--Identify estimated short & long-term workforce needs of focus group attendees.
--Promote awareness and dialogue about economic opportunities in North Carolina
