Basic Solar Photovoltaic System Design - Activity
Bioremediation: Can the Environment Clean Itself?
This overview material is the introduction to the series of bioremediation activities created at the 2011 ATEEC Fellows Institute. The material is designed to introduce the concept of bioremediation to less experienced science students.
Bioremediation = Biological Cleaning of Contaminants in the Environment
This instructional material was created at the 2011 ATEEC Fellows Institute (overall them of bioremediation of contaminants in the environment). The material is designed to introduce the concept of bioremediation to less experienced science students.
Anatomy of an Environmental Disaster: Exploring Pollution Events through Production of a Documentary
This three-part instructional material was created at the 2011 ATEEC Fellows Institute (overall theme of bioremediation of contaminants in the environment). The material provides details on creating learning activities using video media on bioremediation for use in the classroom/laboratory.
Lighting Lab for Off-Grid Solar Energy Project Design
Lab activity to match lighting sources with off-grid solar energy installations, comparing a variety of incandescent, CFL and LED bulbs
Wind Energy & Technician Training, Part 1
Part 1 of 2011 presentation on wind energy training by Mike Schmidt from Windingen and John Lamorie from Laramie County Community College, for ATEEC/CSM's Sustainable Energy Education and Training (SEET) Technology Workshop for high school and community college energy technology instructors
Bench Lab: Organic Reactions and Biofuels
Biofuels bench lab includes introduction, pre-lab, biofuel synthesis procedure, viscosity tests, density tests, and lab questions.
Standby Rate Estimator
The Standby Rate Estimator and Standby Rate Manual are used in conjunction to help businesses analyze the energy bill impacts of deploying an onsite CHP system. CHP which utilizes both the heat and electric power output from small generation systems situated on an energy user's premises dramatically improves energy and environmental performance over traditional electricity supply approaches consisting of central station generating plants and transmission and distribution systems.
